1:Yes it is. The fresher the egg, the harder the peeling. If you have really fresh eggs, boil them, and when done rinse them with cold water to stop the coagulating, but not for too long. Peeling is easier when the egg is still hot. The hotter the easier. (Hold the egg in one hand in a cloth or something to protect your hand from the heat). Drop the egg on a plate or something from a five inches height a few times untill the skin is crackled roundabout. Start peeling!
2:in addition to the above tip, which i quite agree with: try to peel off a "belt" round the middle of the egg. with any luck the two ends of shell will pop off with the minimum of difficulty. it doesn't happen every time, but is well worth a try!

How to peel hard boiled eggs. Sometimes the skin sticks and sometimes not. Is this an egg age-related problem?
