How can I buy organic food on a budget?

Organic fruit and veg is often more expensive when it's imported so stick to locally grown produce. With meat and poultry avoid prime cuts and you should still be able to keep costs down. Look out special offers too - my local supermarket sells a box of mixed organic chicken legs and thighs for £3 which is amazing value. They're not the best cuts but are great for casseroles and stews. It's also worth opting for organic dairy produce over grains and rice if your budget is tight as dairy produce contains higher levels of hormones and pesticides than rice and grains
